La secuela de #LordOfWar, protagonizada por Nicolas Cage y Bill Skarsgard, se estrenará el próximo año según en cines.

#LordsOfWar , la secuela del thriller policíaco homónimo de Andrew Niccol de 2005 , ha sido adquirida por Vertical para su distribución en Estados Unidos, con un estreno en cines previsto para 2027.

Niccol escribió y dirigió la película en la que #NicolasCage retoma su papel como el traficante de armas Yuri Orlov. En la secuela, Orlov descubre que tiene un hijo, Anton ( #BillSkarsgård ), que está formando un ejército de mercenarios que rivalizará con el de su padre, lo que da pie a una rivalidad entre padre e hijo, todo ello con el telón de fondo de las guerras de Estados Unidos en Oriente Medio.

Vendôme Pictures produjo y financió la película, que también cuenta con las actuaciones de Laura Harrier, Sylvia Hoeks y Greg Tarzan Davis. El rodaje de la película finalizó recientemente en Marruecos.
