Al via la terza edizione di UnArchive Found Footage Fest

Dal 27 maggio al 1° giugno 2025, Roma torna a essere il cuore pulsante del riuso creativo delle immagini d’archivio con UnArchive Found Footage Fest, festival internazionale diretto da Marco Bertozzi e Alina Marazzi, e prodotto dall’Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico.

Con oltre 100 opere in programma e 10 luoghi nel cuore di Trastevere, UnArchive propone un viaggio unico tra cinema, memoria e innovazione, accogliendo grandi ospiti del panorama internazionale come Leos Carax, Bill Morrison, Eyal Sivan, Lina Soualem, Andrei Ujică e molti altri.

“decasia – the state of decay” (bill morrison, 2002)

Decasia – The State Of Decay, assembled by Bill Morrison in 2002 (with music composed by Michael Gordon), is an American found footage film by Morrison. It is a meditation on old, decaying silent films. It begins and ends with scenes of a dervish and is bookended with old footage showing how film is processed. Nothing was done to accelerate the decomposition of the actual film prints, some of which were copied from the University of South Carolina’s Moving Image Research Collections.
