Oakland completes section of regional trail connecting BART stations

City of Oakland complated a new segment of the East Bay Greenway, a multi‑agency effort to build a regional trail along the BART corridor between Lake Merritt BART and South Hayward BART. The newly finished section is near Coliseum BART, providing safer and more convenient options for walking, biking and scootering in East Oakland.

A transportation run to the mother's nursing home and back. Stopped by at a supermarket on my way and got her fresh fruits and snacks. I met her in her room. She was good.

Took my regular route along 2 rivers back home. The weather was almost perfect for running. It is a bit warm for my un-heat-acclimated body though. I love this time of year. Felt tired in the last couple of miles.

A transportation run

Had a phone call from the mother's nursing home in late afternoon. Among the other things, looks like she needs more spring/summer socks and underwear.

It was a sunny warm day. I decided to go out for a run to the bike path along the river before the sunset. Stopped by at a discount clothes store on my way back home and got her socks and underwear.

Ran 12 km super easy.
