Like many other set bicycle events for me, this #WinterBikeToWorkDay fell on a day I was unable to bicycle. I bicycle a lot, it's my main transportation and enjoyment. But I usually can't finish a #coffeneuring event, do #30DaysOfBiking or even manage #BikeToSchoolDay or #BikeToWorkDay because they fall on days I have family obligations or motor vehicle travel time with the Spouse.

#BikeToSchoolDay Is today I guess? 2 of my kids rode today, just like most days. The other took the bus since their school is farther away. If your kids can’t ride to school because it is unsafe—reach out to your city about making it more safe! #safeStreets

I only just found out that it is #bikeToSchoolDay which is perfect because my kindergartner just rode his own bike all the way to his school with me this morning for the first time and I could not be more proud. 🎒 🚲

Fun idea for the week before #BikeToSchoolDay: give the kids buckets of chalk and let them write "NO CARS" and "BIKES ONLY" on the streets all around the school.
