Hey #ottbike, is there a good shop in Nepean area for bike cleanup?

I would like a good clean and lube of my chain and sprockets mostly, and don't really need another project to do myself.

Sawdust and grease prob aren't a good combo from working in the garage over the winter.

…I've done a lot of cycling through the city and outside of it over the decades, but I've never tried nor thought to do a full end-to-end bike ride across Ottawa, from western Kanata to eastern Orleans.

I think the connectivity of bike paths is there alright, though maybe a bit of a convoluted path? What is it, maybe 50- 60km?

City of #ottawa decided that riding season is over I suppose. Plastic canes have been removed on Beechwood. Not that they do much anyway. Ride was a bit brisk but it was more of a glove issue than weather. Maybe we need to build and maintain infrastructure for a more resilient population. #bikeottawa

Just witnessed a car cause a bike to crash by doing an illegal left turn on Metcalfe from Laurier. No injuries but I hope that an OPS report gets filed. Victim has plates and my contact info. #bikeottawa

NBD. Picked up a Biktrix Juggernaut Lite in anticipation of having to ride ski trails this winter to get to work. Conclusion from first commute is that it's cheating. I recommend fat tires to deal with the state of #ottawa MUPs and roads. #bikeottawa

Wow, the city is providing safe storage for a total of *18* whole bikes with this new initiative. And they’re even open to considering installing more capacity if it catches on!

(Serious aside - if anyone sees/uses one of these, I’d be interested in knowing what size of bikes they accommodate. I’m sure cargo bikes are out)
