I guess that's a follow-up question for next week's #bikenitepq then!
Which bar bag is good for carrying a camera?
E.g.
With Cushioning/padding built into the bag
Easy access to the camera
I've previously used a Topeak trunk back (on a pannier rack) and wrapped my DSLR in bubble wrap. Fine for when I stop but a pita for quick snaps while riding... because I have to stop.
We have our bikes registered with project 529 Garage.

While it does look to be excellent for helping to track a bike that's been stolen, there seems to be no local support for this service. My local bike shop has been slow to get involved as an option with their bikes, partly perhaps due to the fact that you can't see how much it would cost a shop to join. I thought perhaps introducing it to the local police station so that they also have access to the database would be an option, but I don't know quite how to go about it.
Does anyone use this and have any experience with it? Have you introduced it to bike shops or the local law enforcement in your area? How did you do it, if so, and how was your suggestion received? Without being a store and going through with the registration, how can you find out how much it might cost your local shop to belong?
Cheers!
Some notes on riding 4000 miles on my e-bike, and plans for some of the next 1000

and a question for #biketooter #BikeNitePQ - do you keep track of how many miles you ride? if so, how? are you motivated by mileage or does that not concern you?
Q. does anyone have recommendations for digital cameras to use on bike touring or bike packing trips that's:
*not* a phone
*not* a DSLR (I already have a Sony Alpha A580, but I'm starting to want some thing smaller)
Age is not important (I'll buy off ebay if necessary).
Not bothered whether it's an interchangeable lens system or built in lens.
Budget: less than £1000/$1000/1000€
What do you do if a route you planned is suddenly closed for repairs and no detour is marked?
Today I was digging through crates at Bike Kitchen, looking for a decent kickstand. And it raised a couple questions for me:
* #LBS which build up frames are really cool, recycle hardware, and teach people to DIY. Do you know of one local to you?
* I am still looking for the perfect two-leg kickstand. Any recommendations?
Bike Kitchen is on #UBC campus: https://www.thebikekitchen.ca/
