I went to a talk by Bike Law GA earlier, in conjunction with the Atlanta Cycling Festival. The main takeaways: Report road hazards (Use ATL311 in Atlanta proper), and get uninsured motorist coverage. Reporting hazards puts jurisdictions on notice and could help as evidence in lawsuits.

@ascentale @daihard A7: I really really dislike flashing bike headlights! Now you see me, now you don't, now you see me, now you don't. Now you see the road, now you don't; now you see the road, now you don't. Where is the value in that?! Frequency can also be a trigger for someone who has seizures. And in Washington State flashing tail lights are reserved for emergency vehicles. #BikeNite #BikeTooter #BikeLaw

Hey peeps. What US states have laws specifcally addressing minimum age for riding an #EBike? Not just agencies specifing an age, but an actual, codified law?
And do those laws differentiate between pilot and passenger?

Thanks!

Lane violations are not "accidents". They are driver errors and speak to their lack of skill and ability to remain alert.

We need better laws that suspend licenses when an injury is sustained, as well as complete loss of privilege when there is a death.

Thank you #MassBike for the bumper stickers! “Motorists must give 4 feet to pass - it’s the law!” #BikeTooter #Massachusetts #BikeLaw
Mike Bagg was riding his bicycle in a bike lane in El Paso when he hit an eroded area of concrete and crashed. Faced with $70K of medical bills, he and his family decided to hold the Texas Department of Transportation responsible. Against all odds, they won. https://bikewalk.life/2023/03/cyclist-wins-1-million-in-case-against-txdot/ #bicycle #bikelaw
