Left home 04:20-ish ๐ด๐
Stopped at police outpost, waited for #BikeBuddy who at 05:40 still didn't show so I pedaled to the meetup ๐ฉ by myself -- the planned rideout was 6AM. Relied on nav app. Almost got to #RizalMonument in #Luneta aka Km 0, but the road was blocked due to festivities. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Eventually found our alternative meetup spot within view of the ceremonies. #RizalDay #Philippines #Manila #bikes #bicycles #cycling
I survived another #bike event. ๐๐ Though this time, I decided not to do the entire route. Because. Every time I join a group ride I come home suffering. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
But I still got a good workout out of it. Thank God for my #BikeBuddy. ๐๐
So now I'm home. Too tired to prepare a proper meal. So I'm waiting for the #food delivery. And as you can imagine, I'm very hungry. ๐

Pretty sure they don't ride straight. Plenty of stoplights plus lunch stop.
I'm not in Manila. Hence the need for a #BikeBuddy for the long ride to the meetup. Many of them go bimodal to the meetup. I can't do that. I can't do long rides on the old 16" #bike. I'd have to use the PAS 26" -- too cumbersome for buses and only 20" max allowed on the light railway #trains.
Anyway, the ride got aborted due to an accident. They only went as far as Aguinaldo Shrine.
