Not weird real estate per se, but a weird event involving someone's house! A 135 meter cargo ship ended up grounded within spitting distance of this guy's house. I can't read Norwegian but the pictures are wild.

Lars and Neils looked out across the fjord at the passing ships.
"You know, Neils, we're running a little low in the village coffers."
"Yeah, I saw the books last night. Some extra tourist krone would come in handy around now."
"About that. You know how I like to mess around with stuff?"
"Yes ... I still remember that abomination of a tricycle you built."
"Well, I picked up a GPS spoofer off eBay a few weeks ago, and figured out how to make it directional."
"What? So you can point it at something and make it think it is somewhere else?"
"Exactly."
They both looked out across the fjord.
"Lars, it would have to be the right sort of ship."
"Yes, no tankers or boring bulk carriers."
"One of the more colourful container ships?"
"With deck cargo, so it looks more interesting."
"How about that one?"
"Let's give Johan a surprise in the morning."

Livestream is dead, but #BigBoatStuck is still stuck as of five minutes ago.
Related to #BigBoatStuck at #Byneset (#Trondheim) I feel that the quick clay wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quick_clay?wprov=sfti1 might (hopefully not) be handy to read
As a #Norwegian, it's amazing how the country's news is leaking out of our sphere through #BigBoatStuck, how the creatures of #fedi are and sharing Norwegian news articles and videos, and discussing the etymology and conjugation of Norwegian words :D
„Her kommer Containerskippet“ sounds so cute (#norwegian). But how do Norwegians deal with that -et suffix in hashtags? Is it kept or do they split it somehow for the base form #Containerskip ?
