Goongerah Environment Centre (GECO) has been working to protect East Gippsland's forests from logging since 1993. Using citizen science, non-violent direct action, political lobbying and public education, GECO has protected thousands of hectares of forest through campaigning. GECO is grassroots, community based and run by volunteers.
