Good news in #BoulderCounty trail advocacy! The long-awaited Boulder-Erie Regional Trail (8.6 miles of soft-surface trail along an abandoned railroad right-of-way) was just green-lit 2:1 by the county commissioners. There was a lot of NIMBY opposition, but the recreational and bike commuting community were out in force.

My second bicycle commute took almost eight minutes less than the first one (32 minutes rather than 40). No wind and a little more effort made a big difference. I hope I have enough umph left in my legs to get home as well ...
