3/10 Then there’s The Elohist (E), from the North around 850 BCE. E calls God "Elohim" and depicts Him as more distant—speaking through dreams and angels rather than face-to-face. E focuses on moral fear and proper behavior. After the North fell, J and E were likely blended, creating the layered stories we see today.
