Today this comes down and is paraded through the streets. Young men are currently taking it in turns to climb the rope as high as they can! There are bands playing and men creating braces to carry the pole once it is taken down. Big big crowds gathering with lots of women in red saris #Bhaktapur #AdventuresOfCass #Nepal

A beautiful day dawning outside and I think we’ll all be in a better frame of mind today! My sister and I went for a walk after dinner last night and it seems lovely. We ran into multiple groups of people dancing with cymbals and drums and carrying shrines (?) that shopkeepers and householders were bring out offerings to. It was by local people for local people eand was very joyful. I very rarely video people but I wanted you all to share the experience #Bhaktapur #AdventuresOfCass
