My offering for #WrensDay: a Bewick's Wren from this time 7 years ago. This is the picture that got me serious about birding: it was the first time I noticed a bird I didn't recognize, took the time to get a good photo, and then looked up what it was. They're common here, and I occasionally get their song mixed up with the white crowned sparrows. But we have predators and they remain just elusive enough to be noteworthy when I see them.
