#NameAndShame The players charged with sexual assault: New Jersey Devils center Mike McLeod; Devils defenseman Cal Foote; Philadelphia Flyers goalie Carter Hart; Calgary Flames center Dillon Dube; & former Ottawa Senator forward Alex Formenton charged with one count of sexual assault.
McLeod is charged with an additional count of sexual assault for “being a party to the offence,” which relates to “aiding the behaviour of someone else,” #Bettman must be so disappointed.

From the moment we first learned about this ‘alleged’ sexual assault on May 26, 2022, I have repeatedly used the words abhorrent, reprehensible, horrific and unacceptable to describe the ‘alleged’ behaviours. And those words continue to apply." But that’s it, right? No suspension, no censure, no pay stoppage, no sympathy for ‘alleged’ victim of those ‘alleged’ behaviours. Lots of words though. Five junior players of Canada's 2018 #WorldJuniorHockeyTeam will face sexual assault charges in connection with an alleged group sexual assault of a woman in a hotel room following a Hockey Canada event in June 2018. #Bettman says this conduct is so abhorrent that he has placed the players on leave, with pay, of course.
