Bhattacharya war einer der Autoren der von einem libertären Thinktank initiierten Great Barrington Declaration GBD, die sich für ein gezielt ungehindertes Durchlaufen von #COVID19 durch die Bevölkerung bei gleichzeitiger Abschottung der "Vulnerablen".

Die GBD verteidigte er als akademische Freiheit. Mal schauen wie die Trumpisten das mit der akademischen Freiheit bei der Bethesda Declaration sehen.
