This week we see #Red
Beth Orton, “Blood Red River” from Central Reservation (1999)
#BethOrton's voice glides over spare acoustic guitar like glistening sugar frosting. The lyrics are wistful and aching but I experience her voice more as an instrument, coloring words with her astonishing tone and timbre.
