I really enjoyed #GuillermoDelToro‘s #Frankenstein.

The realism of the dead bodies/body parts is nausea inducing (this could be good or bad, depending on your personal preferences). The visual language heavily invokes #BernieWrightson’s work.

The humanity of the creature is painfully complex, its suffering palpable.

Great acting performances. The involuntary comedy is well timed.

All in all, a great adaptation. A love letter to the romantic genre, to Mary Wollstonecraft, to the creature.
