Tonight: in Boston for work this week which means... out of town livemusic'n.

Caught wind of free performances for "finals" for all the Berklee ensembles right across from Convention Center and caught some low-key incredible sets. Early this eve a wonderful improv from the "Downtempo" ensemble led by Val Jeanty.

Then later at Cafe 939 a showcase of various "roots" groups, a couple cool progressive bluegrass outfits, some old timey folk stuff, and, yes, even a jamgrass group that did a heady Billy Strings > Dylan combo. *Super* impressed with all. Dem kids is alright.
