Il Tempo: “Israele cancerogeno, brucino all'inferno”.

Israel is carcinogenic, burning in hell. Seriously, can Pakistan mediate?

Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif deleted a post on X calling Israel “cancerous” and “a curse upon humanity.” The Times of Israel reports this. The post, published yesterday, sparked protests in Jerusalem, which stated it questioned Pakistan’s ability to mediate between the United States and Iran. In the now-deleted post, Asif wrote that “while peace talks are underway in Islamabad, a genocide is being committed in Lebanon. Innocent civilians are being killed by Israel, first in Gaza, then by Iran and now by Lebanon, and the bloodshed continues unabated. I pray and hope that those who created this cancerous state in Palestinian territory to rid themselves of European Jews will burn in hell.”

“The Defense Minister’s call for the destruction of Israel is an outrage. This is not a statement that can be tolerated by any government, especially not one that proclaims itself a neutral mediator for peace,” was the terse response of Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, the Israeli Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, it emerged that Pakistan will issue visas upon arrival to U.S. negotiators and journalists involved in talks between the United States and Iran, scheduled for this weekend. Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar assured this on X, stating that all delegates, including journalists “from participating countries,” traveling to Islamabad this weekend for talks on a ceasefire between Iran and the United States, will be issued a visa upon arrival in Pakistan. “Pakistan welcomes all delegates, including journalists, from participating countries, who will travel to Pakistan for the Islamabad talks of 2026,” Dar said. “To this end, all airlines are requested to allow boarding of all these people without visas. Pakistani immigration authorities will issue them the visa upon arrival,” Islamabad’s top diplomat emphasized.
