Pomegranate Pirate 🏳️🌈🏴☠️Food is Free is at the Benicia Public Library Weds evenings 5-7 pm. Their website lists a bunch of other Solano County and East Bay locations. Meet Heather who started Food is Free by expanding on the Free Little Library concept during covid, and encouraged others to do the same. Solano County Superviser Monica Brown is also there, and she is a fireball, full of information.
Plus it's in our library, which is full of free resources (and tools).
-you dont have to be local. All they ask is number of people in your household, and of those how many are kiddos, and how many over 65. Everyone is really nice.
The library also collects clean plastic grocery bags for them, so if you have a stash, drop them off. The funding should go to food, not buying bags!
