Nizza, 13 apr. (Adnkronos) - “L'occasione dell'Aeroporto di Roma è un'occasione imperdibile. Lo dico con un interesse specifico ma secondo me è un interesse di tutti non perderla”. Lo ha detto Alessandro Benetton, presidente del gruppo Mundys, a margine dell'inaugurazione del nuovo molo del T2 dell'Aeroporto di Nizza, parlando dello sviluppo dell'aeroporto di Fiumicino. “Dobbiamo muoverci in questa direzione, spingeremo più che possiamo”, perché “i premi che ci vengono riconosciuti ci convincono che la strada è giusta. Siamo favorevoli al dialogo, vogliamo ascoltare tutti. Ma i tempi – ha avvertito Benetton – non sono infiniti: il problema non sono i tempi nostri ma quelli dei concorrenti. Noi potremmo anche essere pazienti e accontentarci, ma se gli altri vanno più veloci sarebbe un peccato. Penso che questi 9 miliardi di investimento” per lo sviluppo del Leonardo Da Vinci “siano auspicabili per tutti, perché si tratta di un indotto” per cui è necessario spingere. ( VIDEO )
“Questo è un mondo in evoluzione e in crescita, nonostante le pandemie e le cose terribili che ci auguriamo che finiscano il prima possibile, questo clima geopolitico che comporta una grande difficoltà a farci programmare a lungo termine. Ma la gente – ha spiegato Benetton – vuole viaggiare e lo vediamo” e per questo “è un'occasione da non perdere se uno vuole pensare al turismo e a sfruttare le cose belle che ha nel paese”.
In Francia, ha proseguito il presidente, “abbiamo trovato un terreno fertile, mi ha fatto piacere che il sindaco (di Nizza ndr) Ciotti si sia ricordato il processo di privatizzazione che è stato l'inizio di tutto questo. E soprattutto, c'è stata una fiducia reciproca sul fatto che quello che deve essere misurato sono i fatti. E oggi possiamo apprezzare tutti l'effetto di questo tipo approccio”. La Francia “è un paese importantissimo, è il 28% del nostro fatturato. Questi ultimi passi lo decretano in maniera oggettiva, con la A63 e Getlink e questo tipo di iniziativa. Noi vogliamo essere un grande gruppo italiano che è in tutta Europa e forse anche in tutto il mondo. In ogni caso che dove arriva può fare la differenza”, ha chiosato.
