I lost my pocketknife a couple of days ago and I can't figure out what happened to the knife. I don't really go out often. It is a Benchmade knife, one of those with a clip on the side. I had the knife for years, so it was building sentimental value, also Benchmade's aren't cheap. Of course, I didn't notice the loss until I reached for it to do something and nothing was there, just my pocket. Hmmm ... I started to say air just to make it rhyme. Anyway, I already ordered a replacement. Benchmade's have a lifetime guarantee, but that doesn't help if you lose the darn thing. Now I might come across it - c'est la vie.

I was today years old when I found out that the founder of the #Benchmade Knife Company was a #Filipino American. Les de Asis (1957-2020) was a Filipino and Portuguese American entrepreneur from Los Angeles who popularized the Filipino #balisong knife, which originated in Batangas, in the US. His company is now regarded as one of the top knife manufacturers in the world.

I am proud to own 3 Benchmade knives: a 190 Drop Point Hunter and matching 192 Bird & Trout, and a 100RR River & Rescue.

@ittavern Yeah for sure. Best thing hands down is my #Benchmade mini-bugout, imo an almost perfect urban #edc knife. I carry a quality tool card in my slim wallet, and some picks from Grim Workshop in dogtag and clip-on format. Phone, of course.

Bit of cord (5') on a lame "survival keychain" if I'm carrying car keys, with a flint woven in, and more as heavy-duty cord bootlaces.

I often carry a notebook with a pocket in the back, so I keep a usb-c cable there. That's it for my urban daily.
