Sadly this is Judy Holliday’s final film, her final work on Broadway was in 1963 and she passed from cancer in 1965. She was such an absolute force of nature and it’s a shame her career was fairly short (only 16 credited films)

I watched this in January and all of the ladies with their matching dresses and shoes inspired me to start the year off fresh by sending in all of my leather flats to be repaired at a local leather repair shop- very worth it! They all look brand new now- even some I’ve had for over 20yrs

I love this scene- now If only that creepo wasn’t hanging around outside

@MatthewTitus88 Same. It always makes me sad when a Jukebox is just sitting there in silence #MusComEnt #BellsAreRinging
Beatnik Judy Holliday is perfection. Suck it, gangs from “The Wild One”! #MusComEnt #BellsAreRinging
The costumes for this film were designed by Walter Plunkett and they are all just fantastic from the colors to the range of styles

This is similar to films like “Wait Until Dark” in that it was originally on Broadway and they kept the sets fairly limited and contained for the film version.

@MatthewTitus88 While Art Deco and Art Nouveau are my favorite eras of design, I have a huge soft spot for Mid Century Modern design. Classic but also a little futuristic #MusComEnt #BellsAreRinging
@MatthewTitus88 that+ his roasts was pretty much all knew about him outside of his movie and music #MusComEnt #BellsAreRinging
