Love this quiet little walkway that always has shady spots and shrubs to watch as they change through the seasons.

An interesting Sunday morning article to read or hear. Colm Toibin looks back at places he's lived and how they inspired stories. Not as depressing as the title suggests.

Left me counting how many homes I have lived in over my life. Sixteen.
All with happy memories, also some with hard times, just like any life.
Longest and best a house here in #Canberra where my children grew up and my grandchildren gave me joy. This is why #Belconnen has my undying love and where my favourite suburb, Fraser, gradually becomes more 'central' as the city spreads.
Remember driving home past Florey, before it had a name and where there was a farm with livestock.
Now my last home, a unit with a view to Mount Rogers and the skyline across to Gunghalin, which gives me infinite pleasure.
I can still remember times in all those homes and realise I am so very fortunate to have had all those experiences and met wonderful people. Wish I had the skill of a storyteller to write stories about each of them.

#JamisonPool #Belconnen #Canberra - At Thursday night’s community meeting Greens MLA Jo Clay released her #SaveBigSplash “listening report”. It’s now online. It’s quick to read and not what I would call party political.

#JamisonPool #SaveBigSplash A worthwhile community meeting last night. Almost all have a positive vision. I didn’t realise how important this is #Canberra wide, not just to #Belconnen. And valued by youth. The nearest waterpark is now a 2 hour drive.
