Today (Friday) @neo and me have been to a #CombatantsForPeace protest at the northern entrance to #BeitJala, against the Israeli "execution of Palestinian prisoners" law.

During the event, soldiers and cops surrounded the area and declared it a "closed military zone," threatening participants with immediate arrest if they did not end the protest.

We tried to march outside "the zone", but were forced to end the demonstration, despite law and logic, because they can.

Now in #BeitJala:

A circle of women in white sitting in silence with signs in Arabic, Hebrew, or English.

For example:
* Justice
* Equal rights
* Refuse to be complicit
* Resist opression

Vigil is organized by #combatantsforpeace and circle of women in white.

Yesterday, @neo and me went to #BeitJala for a joint Palestinian / Jewish vigil for the #forcibly_involved children who keep getting killed in #gaza for reasons no one can explain (although many keep trying to invent reasons and believe in them).
It was refreshing to do this among people who know the truth and share our grief.
Thanks to #Combatantsforpeace for organizing this, and to all the people who joined us 💗

Today @neo and me were in a vigil of #combatantsforpeace in #BeitJala against the targeting of #gaza journalists (e.g. #AnasalSharif).
Before the action we've prepared symbolic black vests with PRESS written on them in white and crosshairs or blood stains in red.
We also had pieces of masking tape with closed zippers drawn on them.
We got good responses and vibes from everyone passing around us except for some soldiers who soldiered people a bit so that we don't forget it's an occupation.
Yeah, this clip feels tame AF compared to the hellfire raining down on #Gaza right now—but it’s a flashback to #BeitJala, about 10 years ago. A reminder that colonization ain’t a moment, it’s a fucking process. This is where we were, and it shows exactly how we ended up here. Nothing new—just the same settler playbook, decade after decade.

In this powerful scene, a Palestinian resident from #BeitJala in the occupied #WestBank recounts the day Israeli forces uprooted ancient olive trees to make way for the separation wall. The story reveals the deep spiritual and historical ties Palestinians have to the land—and the devastation caused by its ongoing erasure. These thousand-year-old olive trees are more than crops; they are living ancestors.
This clip is part of “A Red Road to the West Bank”, a documentary exploring the shared experiences of Indigenous resistance in #Palestine and on Turtle Island.

"The photo below was taken last week at our office in #BeitJala, where Palestinians and Israelis came together as one team. Joined by our friends from the U.S., we shared Arabic coffee, discussed strategy, and took moments to reflect on the significance of simply being together. It is hard to put this journey into words. We carry gratitude in one hand and grief in the other."
