Tracy ThomasHad another #freshhop beer (I wised up and ordered half pints), this one a WC IPA from Great Notion with fresh Centennial hops. I admit to a bit of a prejudice against Great Notion because I’m not a fan of those super hazy beers that are almost like shakes. Turns out they’re really good brewers, this one was my second favorite behind Level Brewing’s Pale Ale. It had lovely floral notes and a bit of FH zing. Always good to knock down preconceived notions. #portland #beermongers
Fresh hop IPA from Threshold Brewing, one with fresh Centennial hops and one with fresh Strata. Same beer, different fresh hops, super fun. Surprisingly (to myself), I like the Strata better. My husband does too. #freshhop #portland #beermongers

Regarding #PDX (Portland), we start by suggesting #BeerMongers and #Apex (beer bars and bottle shops). Both have a plethora of local and exceptional beers.
Breweries are a bit tougher because has their charm. But #UprightBrewing never disappoints, nor does #ChuckanutBrewing (based out of Bellingham, Washington), #GreatNotion (if you like confection-inspired beer or hazy ipas), #BreaksideBrewery, #CascadeBrewing (fruited source), and finally #LivingHaus and #WayfinderBeer.
For #Seattle, we suggest #PikeBrewing because it's one of the oldest and in the Pike Place Market, #Cloudburst (2 locations), #HolyMountainBrewing, #FairIsleBrewing or #StoupBrewing (or pretty much most in the #Ballard area). But if you're focused on East Seattle, then #RavennaBrewing, #BurkeGilman, #LaddAndLassB #GeorgetownBrewing, or #BigTimeBrewing. Don't forget about bottle shops/draught-houses #bottleworksbeer, #ChucksHopShop, #BrouwersCafe, and #StumblingMonk (#CapitolHill).
