#beekeepers of fedi I have a #beekeeping question.
My hive is on year two. They have a healthy population and laying pattern. They were upgraded from a single deep on the hive base to a second deep. In 2 weeks they built comb and filled it with #honey and capped it. I put the queen excluder above this and put on a super. Its been a month and they haven't built any comb and they're not dipping into the massive honey reserve. They can move easily into the super and actively keep it free of hive beetles and ants, though I saw about 6 today.
How do encourage them to start building comb? Do I just rob the deep full of honey and not put that back on till August?
