As a person who appreciates gimmicky soda and Mountain Dew, when I heard that 7-Eleven had their own, new custom Mountain Dew flavor, I had to check it out.

Enter "Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl."

My initial impression is...it's okay. The flavor starts by hitting you with subtle pineapple followed by a berry / regular Mountain Dew aftertaste. However, for me, overall the flavor was kind of subdued.

I didn't mind it, but my kids - well, they really liked it. While I had a few sips, they guzzled down the rest of the bottle.

I guess you could say it was a hit at home, even if I only thought it was okay. Would get again for the kids, but unlikely to get again for myself. I'll stick with my standard dose of Diet Dew.
