Tiamat would prefer to go to winter nap, but she needs to poop first, so that anything in her stomach won't cause problems over the winter brumation.
So, bath time!
Tiamat got to chase bugs, ate a blueberry and had a nice bath (where she pooped, naturally).
Today has been great.
My bearded dragon is in brumation and I wish I could brumate. He’s got the right idea.
Fun fact: many reptiles “brumate” during colder months to conserve energy. They find a place to hide, usually on the cool side of their habitat to conserve energy. They don’t sleep like hibernation, but generally don’t move much if at all and stop eating.
It’s a real bummer because Rosco is my anti-depressent and he does what I want to do when my seasonal depression peaks.
