I’ve been following the tall ships as they arrive in the Chesapeake Bay heading for #baltimore When I got home this afternoon I saw that Spain’s, Juan Sebastian de Elcano and the Lady Maryland were heading up the #Chesapeakebay …….luck would have it….right off my little beach! I grabbed my camera and took off in the rain. I was only able to get one blurry shot of the Lady Maryland. The rain cleared as the Juan Sebastian was approaching the #BayBridge . I hope to catch other #tallships over the next couple of days as they head into #baltimore for the 250 year celebration.

Lower level of the Bay Bridge. I had never travelled across a two level bridge before and I will say that I thought of its collapse during that '89 earthquake while going through.

The Bay Bridge I-80 E is totally wrecked tonight…

My partner has been stuck in San Francisco traffic for over an hour trying to get home to Oakland and will likely be stuck another 30+ minutes.

As of 8:04 PM, CHP reports that there is a severe traffic alert and police department activity on eastbound I-80 west of Treasure Island Rd in San Francisco. The left lane is now open; the right lanes remain blocked. Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes to avoid the area. There is no estimated time to reopen the roadway.”
