I prezzi dei voli alle stelle, sospinti dall’alta domanda per una sfida di cartello ma anche dal più ampio scenario internazionale segnato dall’aumento del costo del petrolio, hanno spinto un gruppo di tifosi del Bayern Monaco a trovare una soluzione alternativa. In un periodo in cui il caro viaggi è alimentato dalla guerra in Medio Oriente, con ricadute dirette sui costi dell’energia e quindi del trasporto aereo, raggiungere Madrid per assistere alla partita di Champions League contro il Real era diventato proibitivo: in alcuni casi i biglietti superavano i 900 euro.
Di fronte a queste cifre, il fan club “Red Bulls Taubenbach” ha deciso di organizzarsi autonomamente, noleggiando un intero aereo charter da 180 posti. Una scelta che ha permesso di dividere le spese tra tutti i partecipanti e abbattere i costi: ogni tifoso ha pagato circa 475 euro, poco più della metà rispetto alle tariffe disponibili sul mercato. Così sono partiti alla volta di Madrid per assistere all’andata dei quarti di finale di Champions.
L’iniziativa si è rivelata un successo, non solo dal punto di vista economico. Il viaggio si è trasformato in un momento di condivisione collettiva: durante il volo verso la capitale spagnola, i sostenitori bavaresi hanno animato l’aereo con cori, canti e brindisi, creando una sorta di “curva volante” che ha anticipato l’atmosfera dello stadio. I video dell’esperienza sono rapidamente diventati virali sui social. Una volta atterrati a Madrid, i 180 tifosi hanno raggiunto il Santiago Bernabeu per sostenere la squadra. E la trasferta si è conclusa nel migliore dei modi: il Bayern ha vinto 2-1 contro il Real. Una vittoria al Bernabeu che i bavaresi aspettavano da 25 anni.

Flight prices soaring, fueled by high demand for a price war but also by the broader international situation marked by rising oil prices, prompted a group of Bayern Munich fans to find an alternative solution. In a period where the cost of travel is fueled by the war in the Middle East, with direct repercussions on energy costs and therefore air transport, reaching Madrid to watch the Champions League match against Real had become prohibitive: in some cases, tickets exceeded €900.
Faced with these figures, the fan club “Red Bulls Taubenbach” decided to organize independently, renting an entire 180-seat charter plane. A choice that allowed them to share the costs among all participants and reduce costs: each fan paid around €475, just slightly more than half the market price. Thus, they set off for Madrid to watch the quarter-final of the Champions League.
The initiative proved to be a success, not only from an economic point of view. The journey transformed into a moment of collective sharing: during the flight to the Spanish capital, the Bavarian supporters animated the plane with chants, songs and toasts, creating a kind of “flying stand” that anticipated the atmosphere of the stadium. The videos of the experience quickly went viral on social media. Once landed in Madrid, the 180 fans reached the Santiago Bernabeu to support the team. And the trip ended in the best possible way: Bayern won 2-1 against Real. A victory at the Bernabeu that the Bavarians had been waiting for 25 years.
