Dear Friends of Free sPeach,

As you may know:

1) Some of us are a disorganiz-sation of 1-cat (I do have an #invisible cat called #Bast)

2) ...and yet we can. Speak on #Mastodon by #virtue (mostly) of our #American bothers and siestas (error corrected: brothers and #sisters)

3) Shirley and aero-plainly it must be time to be a de-influencer. Am on it with apologies to the pro's (are they our secret wealth tax yet?)

4) OK, created a rant about two #Cambridge UK based companies. I does my best to be worldly, supporting #Gaia (Earth 1 and only). Hope you can forgive all my pausing whilst I search for info. Yep I could remove all the pauses in Audacity. BUT I am not an influencer but a rantcustard/rantcaster. Sorry! I even swore. Bloody Hell! I iz bad!

Our featured creator does 3D printing. Have you ever? (Share a pic)

I bought a cheapish printer several years ago and printed everything under the sun. It's been mostly idle for a few years, always with some fixable but annoying thing that I caused by trying to upgrade it. I fix that, print a while, break it again, and a few more months go by. Maybe the coolest things I printed were for my wife at the time, who is a classicist and history teacher. This is the Gayer-Anderson cat, a Bast(et) statue found in an Egyptian graveyard, now in the British Museum. She is very nearly life-size (the original is about 31cm, I think, and this one is maybe 28 or 29). She sits on my ex's desk "to judge the students."

Best Posts of 2025

2025 was another interesting year here at the Many Rants. Early in the year I wrote Betelgeuse. At first, today, when I read it again, I thought I had counted wrong for this post. Then I realized I hadn’t counted the title. For the same reason, I now say Beetle Juice, Betelgeuse, Beetle Juice, Betelgeuse, Beetle Juice.

Little Drummer Cat is my tribute to my cat, Bast, who unfortunately died earlier this year.

The New Gladiators is my road map to make hockey even more of a blood sport than in 1970’s Philadelphia. It might happen, yet.

I think I wrote Elmira, Sartins and Hockey well enough that outsiders from northern Waterloo Region would understand what I’m talking about, too.

Money is Time and Elon Musk and His Time Machine got me followed by two of Elon Musk’s kids on Twitter or as the kids say, “X”. I post about my posts there but do almost nothing else over there.

Then finally I think I identified something in the human condition. I called it Poop!
