These #ibanez Aerosilk #piezopickups are great. The only downside is that I cannot add a 6th string. Not unless I double up on the top but, the nut width is a bit narrow so they'd definitely remain rather close.

Only hack I could do, really, would be to try glueing a strip of wood to the bottom of the fingerboard + add new fretmarkers. I don't feel like doing that.

Not long before this model was revealed, I wrote to them asking for a 6-string #fretlessBass basically with these specs or maybe 35" scale length. They didn't have any plans but always appreciated feedback/suggestions from customers/players.
