Bash at the Beach 1996 opened with an AMAZING Rey Mysterio, Jr vs Psychosis match! I already knew of Rey from his WWE work and I'd heard of Psychosis, but I didn't know how great they were in the mid-90s! Sadly the crowd wasn't as into it, but this was still a very good opening match.

King of the Ring 1996 was better than KotR 1995 and was a pretty decent show! The downside is that ECW and WCW both have a lot of momentum right now, and - Steve Austin's famous promo aside - this show was kind of overshadowed. I mean this was the night after the brawl-heavy ECW Hardcore Heaven '96, and two weeks before WCW's (in)famous Bash at the Beach 1996, so it's good outshined by great.
