**Bruce Boxleitner.** I’m impressed with this one. It takes a standard undercover-with-a-biker-gang plot and adds a whole lot of intelligent drama. It’s a gun-for-hire situation. Baretta wants to protect a witness/informant but the A.D.A. isn’t open to making a deal with a co-conspirator. When another person is assassinated, Baretta goes after the A.D.A. for murder! First of two scripts for the show by Edward Lakso. _Spring 1976: ABC aired Baretta in the middle hour of Wednesday prime time after The Bionic Woman and before Starsky & Hutch. Against it, CBS had Cannon while NBC aired Chico and the Man and The Dumplings._ 9/10
