5k around a bird sanctuary, this area of Spain is so full of Storks that they have to live in highrises ;)
Tomorrow we are in Amber wind warning so I think it would be a good day for a rest day, before I try out a more technical and longer run. Leg should be recovered by then as it felt very good today.

Another steady and easy she goes run on some farm track and forest roads that ended up on the rail trail again. Leg is feeling good, but I shouldn't be tempted to "send it" just yet, a few more easy runs before going off road again, is the safe option here.

Morning ☔🌧️🌬️🌈
A vicious north westerly wind, brought driving rain, a little Sahara sand from across the Mediterranean.
Midway through my stretching as the rain hammered against the glass, I wondered if the rain might stop - it did stop, but 10 mins from the end, pah!
Today I stayed very local, turning a 5k loop into 11km, by going around and around.and up and down. It was kinda fun, with some unintended repeated hills, and very very wet!
Just a wee gentle run along a rail trail, not pushing hard yet. But there was some jumping over a stream, battle through some undergrowth and a visit to a wee Ermita to test out if the leg is better. When walking it's all good, but running down hill it still moan. So it is clearly worse than what I thought and need a few more "easy does it" days to get fully mended. Lovely running here would like to come back an try out the more technical and longer routes/trails up in them there hills.

Another nice sunny day,.for another good run, although today I couldn't seem to get comfortable, even though it was a good run.
The main culprit was the 4 hours yesterday spent going up and down a ladder, painting. Ladders always play havoc with calfs, hips and knees, and back, and even my pre run warmup & stretch couldn't fully iron out the aches... Still, glad I went.
Now coffee & porridge, before I get on today.

Morning 🌞
The sun was rising when I left this morning, so today my run was totally in daylight. I am actually enjoying my daylight forays. I didn't do a loop as is my norm, because I wanted all my run this morning - off road, so when I reached the main road, I turned back and ran over the same ground.
The focus was running and fun, not on heart rate in a low zone. Anyway, an excellent start to the.day, and now; Coffee!
Well my asphaltphobia of tarmac didn't get cured today. First time in 2 years of running I get an injury and of course it happened on the dreaded flat, smooth and boring road surface. Somehow I landed wrong with my right leg and pulled something above my knee which sent pain round to the back of the leg and right up to my gluteus sexius, as the lass calls it ;)
Good news, I was thinking about walking the last 2k as Paddy boy was looking a bit hot under the collar... well more his black fur... so the run wasn't too ruined. And I still managed to get back to HQ in under two hours as I had hoped to do the run in.
Otherwise it was a good run and we crossed paths with two lads on mountain bikes a few times and we were greeted with friendly big smiles every time.
Now stretching and relaxing and feeding.

Set out to do 6k, but at 2k to go the trail became too overgrown to run and then just puff gone. I tried to get back to HQ via an olive grove which turned into an abandoned garden with stone paths, terraces and holders for what I guess to be for torches. I think it would have looked amazing in its hay day. Ended up being 5km but jolly good fun on a trail that must be for mountain bikers too and in places I was in awe that they could ride downhill and stay on track and not into a tree.

Good morning 🌞
A beautiful sunrise greeted the beginning of my run, then a bright sun and blue sky accompanied me for the rest.
It was actually pretty chilly this morning and the first couple of Km's I was wishing I had some.gloves,. but my hands soon found warmth, or maybe I just stopped noticing the cold.
So, another steady state, low HR run, if I didn't have things to do today, I could've easily gone longer -enjoyable running.
