Look at that, she has her hands in the bowl, nice to see. Totally best way to mix up stiff or awkward mixtures is with clean hands. I'll never forget doing our first, and in my case only, Christmas cake at school and being horrified at having to use my hands to mix it. But I've mixed any amount of meatball, burger, meat loaf, marinaded meat or fish up with my hands. Just so much easier to make sure everything's even. #BarefootContessa

I have made a few Ina Garten recipes this past month and let me tell you, most of her recipes are spot on. I see that she has a serious Scientific background and would explain why her recipes are so well written.
