Chinese (#HongKong) regime's case against #BaoChoy is beyond ridiculous: She was *convicted* of... wait for it... looking up publically available vehicle registration data.

Her real "crime" was successfully identifying many of the organized crime thugs (called triads, Chinese mafia groups) that brutally attacked defenceless commuters and returning pro-democracy protesters at a busy train station, because... wait for it... those thugs were very close associates of prominent CCP backers.

Those thugs had been hired to send a bloody message to #Hongkongers: Submit to #CCP repression or we will hurt you. At random.

The ever-increasing regime violence did start thinning out the mass protests, but thanks to many live video feeds and the work of journalists like Bao Choy the people already *knew*, for a fact, who had orchestrated the shocking assault.

Prosecuting the investigative journalists or anyone standing up for the now-buried notion of a civil society or #UN #humanrights is now merely tedious #legalistic cleanup work and anyone involved in the persecutions should be sanctioned off civilized world for good.

The real "pearl of the orient" realization here is that the CCP #dictatorship apparently gets to crush #Hongkong society without #consequences while keeping its manipulative global #BankingColony operations there fully intact.

Democracies are still playing the game to CCP's tune. How's it going so far?

“I won in the sense of social justice. Yet we’re very clear that even with the top court’s ruling, the government can do anything to change the game. It is not a long-lasting victory,” journalist Bao Choy said of the Court of Final Appeal ruling that quashed her conviction.

Hong Kong: The High Court Dismisses Appeal Of Former RTHK Producer Bao Choy Yuk-ling — Coalition For Women in Journalism

The appeal of Bao Choy Yuk-ling, former producer of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) was denied by the High Court judge and the original verdict was supported.

Here's an example on how #Beijing tries to silence #media (#RTHK in this case) and a #journalist who simply used a publicly accessible data base of number plates to uncover who was behind sending white-dressed #Triads thugs to beat up pro-#democracy protestors at #YuenLong MRT station.
While #BaoChoy was not sentenced to a jail term, the hefty fine certainly serves as an intimidating warning to investigative journalism in all of #HongKong.
