A wooden boat departed from Tripoli with 105 migrants on board, including women and children, capsized Saturday afternoon in the Mediterranean Sea, in a Libyan rescue zone. The Italian Coast Guard rescued 32 Egyptian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi shipwreck survivors who had been adrift at sea for several hours before being located and reached.

Two bodies were recovered. At present, “more than seventy people are missing,” the NGO Mediterranea announced on social media.
