An expert in the motorcycle club and biker culture may have an opportunity to take the stand in the shooting case involving members of the Pagans Motorcycle Club

Prosecutors in Montgomery County want a federal expert to testify about the culture and structure of outlaw motorcycle gangs when nine alleged members of the Pagans motorcycle club stand trial in connection with a shooting outside a West Norriton Wawa last year.

The unusual request surfaced during pretrial hearings this week ahead of the defendants’ scheduled May 18 trial, according to The Mercury.

According to court filings, prosecutors want Jeremy Scheetz, an intelligence operations specialist with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, to explain the subculture, hierarchy and values associated with outlaw biker organizations.

Prosecutors argued that jurors may not be familiar with how such groups operate and said expert testimony could help them understand the alleged motivations behind the confrontation that led to violence in the parking lot.

A shooting rampage that killed three bikers on Texas highways in 2023 was the work of the Homietos Outlaw Motorcycle Club — and appears connected to a motorcycle gang war that raged across the Houston area for years, states a federal criminal charging document filed in Houston this week.

The Justice Department filed new charges Thursday against Joseph Roy “Tequila” Gomez, accusing him of participating in a racketeering conspiracy tied to the motorcycle gang.

Bandidos-Hells Angels: gunman sentenced to eight years

The heaviest sentence goes to the Bandido who opened fire first after the Hells Angels entered the public house. He subject to four years of pre-trial detention. The man was found guilty of two counts of attempted murder and endangering the lives of others.

The second Plainpalais shooter, a Hells Angel, was acquitted of attempted murder. Convicted of affray and weapons offences, he was sentenced to 30 months in prison, six of which have already been served.

His sidekick, who entered the bar first and was wounded by a gunshot, received a 14-month suspended sentence for the brawl. Another Bandido, who had sprayed him with gas, was acquitted.

Hundreds of bikers gather for Glasgow funeral of Blue Angels founder

Lenny “The Lion” Reynolds founded the notorious Blue Angels 60 years ago.

The biker, who passed away in December aged 80, was a founding member of the motorcycle club set up by Allan Morrison and Billy “Stone” Gordon in Maryhill, Glasgow, in 1963.

Around 800 bikers turned out to bid a final farewell to Lenny – who was described as a “true legend” of the outlaw biker scene.

Bikers gathered outside his home in Glasgow’s Dennistoun before his body was escorted to the funeral service in Drumchapel.

His coffin was draped in a flag with the Blue Angels logo and a Lion Rampant flag and was pulled by a trike as hundreds of mourners followed on motorcycles.
