"Gran parte di ciò che è stato scritto da allora non è altro che un commento su un altro commento, nel tentativo di interpretare quanto è stato detto", ha osservato il Pontefice.
"Solo un piccolo esempio: Il discorso che ho tenuto all'incontro di preghiera per la pace un paio di giorni fa (a Bamenda, ndr) era stato preparato due settimane prima, ben prima che il presidente commentasse su di me e sul messaggio di pace che sto promuovendo. Eppure - ha rimarcato - è stato interpretato come se stessi cercando di dibattere nuovamente con il presidente, cosa che non è affatto nel mio interesse". "Proseguiamo quindi il nostro cammino, continuiamo a proclamare il messaggio del Vangelo" per promuovere la fraternità.
