Interesting 3D Printing article covering additions to a 3D Printer; filament drying hardware
Bloody #Bambu P1S 3d-printer hell. I don't use much it, and every time i have to fight with it to get it online. This time their own official app, #BambuStudio, just didn't recognize it.
I had to
- Disable LAN-only mode.
- Connect to it with their phone app via bluetooth.
- Update firmware.
- Download #OrcaSlicer.
- Set the printer back to LAN only and enable developer mode.
- Connect with Orca with access code, fail BUT
- Connect with manual mode, SUCCESS.
I'll never buy anything Bambu again. Last year they tried to lock out 3rd party software (with huge backlash), and now ONLY the open source 3rd party program works.

It actually finished.. Without finishing the spool.. The nerve of that printer! Shame.. Shame!
No, I am happy that the print I am printing (#deskware) is so very well thought out that it could use that little filament to finish this massive thing.
So, I started a new print of the same part, and will refill the spool in a few minutes and then go to bed, if the next episode is a dud.

I have been waiting patiently for my 3D printer to run out of filament to change the spool, or well to refill the spool, and the damn thing has reminded me of the damn #Duracell advertisements of years yonder, "It keeps going and going and going and going..."
Now I am 4 episodes in on a new show, a bottle of red wine poorer and the damn thing only has 25 minutes left of a 4 hour print..
Now it begs a question.. Will it make it?
