I realized I posted about making lemon bars, and then never posted a picture. How rude of me. Here's a picture of one from each batch. One batch is more tart and less sweet. The other is unsurprisingly, more sweet and much more in demand, which leaves more of the sharp version for me

You'll have to wait on pictures of me squeezing the essence out of the lemons. I can't do that picture set myself.

I ended up with a lot of leftover zest, so I just dried it out and have a stash for the soups, etc on my agenda later this month.

Local high school has a #CraftShow / fundraiser every year the same week as my #birthday This year they raffled off a basket of #bakedgoods
I won. So I get lots of #treats to help me celebrate.

Enjoying some #RedBeanPaste #pastries & a cup of #OolongTea. I don't like overly sweet snacks. These red bean paste desserts have slight sweetness, far from overpowering sweet taste. I got these ones from Fairway Market.

I'm working from home for part of today. I have 2 client check up appointments in the late afternoon. Both appointments are less than 15 minutes drive away👍

So over the past couple of weeks, I have had some really awesome food. The two meals were brought to me by my neighbor across the hall, and the baked goods were brought me by my home care workers that come in once or twice a week. So I have had a chance to taste some really awesome food. The first time was on Sunday when one of my Home Care workers brought me a bag of homemade baked goods which included cinnamon rolls, blueberry muffins, and some sort of a small chocolate cake or chocolate bread. Not only that, but last night I was pleasantly surprised with dinner from my GF. Southwestern style eggrolls from Chili’s, which I hadn’t had in years.
