@ChrisLemoine the thunder and hail were spectacular here on BI! #bainbridgeisland

Um. Just sprinkled sea salt in my mocha and I’m Leonardo smirking. And sketching.

Looks like they've added a bike rack since I was last here. #cycling #bicycle #bainbridgeisland

Relive the laundry cycle that was Cascade’s 2026 Chilly Hilly in my newest video! Rain, sun, ferries, chili, we had it all.

Bloedel Conservatory part 4. Photo 1: Here is what I assume is a temporary display by the Vancouver Orchid Society. Photos 2-3: They have a Wollemi Pine! I posted about them a few weeks ago (quirky and highly endangered Australian conifer whose entire habitat is one tiny valley, only described by science in the 1990s). Photo 4: Venus fly traps growing pretty much directly on some (frequently damp) limestone rocks. Very interesting!

Bloedel Conservatory part 3. A lot of the plants are readily recognizable as houseplants, but not all. It seems like the larger specimens are permanent, but quite a few of the smaller plants are grown in greenhouse grown and added as they come into bloom, and periodically swapped out. Still, it takes a lot of skill to create arrangements like photo 4-- naturalistic but attuned to human aesthetics.
