The girl is potting out her pea plants. She's doing a bit of science, varying the conditions for each pot. She's also naming them.
So we have Percy Pea in a very sunny spot, Poppy Pea planted in compost from the wormery, and Pip Pea tied to a very long stick.
We also have one completely normal one: Print, the control pea.
