I found this chipmunk sitting still but breathing and he only walks sluggishly when I approach him. Seems to be breathing hard

What can I do to help the little guy?

On Sunday I was tilling the potato bed when one of the sides collapsed, revealing this garter snake that had burrowed under it. Glad my shovel didn't cut it in half.

There's a declining maple tree in the yard that was hosting #woodpeckers. Unfortunately, their diligent home building weakened this junction, and a storm toppled that whole section. I hope they are doing okay without their shelter. The marks are fascinating! #BackyardHabitat

(An arborist did visit previously and said it was fine to leave up. Nothing overhangs the house, sidewalk, or neighbors' driveways.)
