Felling 9 holly trunks (~25 ft) and selectively salvaging the best sections for lumber. Holly is dense, fine-grained, and beautifully pale when fresh—too good to waste. Branches will be chipped; straight logs are to be milled on a Timberking 1220 band saw for small woodworking projects.

Ran 9.5 miles today, raked dirt, then cut down a privet tree the old-fashioned way - an axe, some physics and some geometry to keep it from falling on my house or my fence. Also didn’t eat much except some high-protein low-everything-else stuff.

Today I don’t feel so bad about making hot dish and having a couple beers at night.
