It's my position that no one should go into the #backcountry planning to spend the night out without carrying a #wildlife resistant canister.

I own a BearVault BV500. Yes, it's huge. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's heavy. And yes, it's not permitted in a few areas near me where bears have learned to open the BearVault, specifically.

does anyone know of any light, 4 season, 1 person tents for tall lanky bastards? ideally <2kg.

i've been lugging a 2 person macpac up the hills, i can sleep in it diagonally... which aside from the weight has been _ok_. but the plastic is disintegrating

event better: anyone know a fix for when tents plastic starts getting sticky? i think the waterproofing is failing.
