BABY SAID Releases Debut Album BS

Alternative/rock band duo Baby Said is thrilled to release their debut album BS that is out now on all platforms.  Baby Said are made up of Italian/Punjabi sisters Veronica and Jess.

The band says, ‘’We are so excited to share our debut album with the world as we have been playing it live for so long at some amazing festivals, like Reading and Leeds and Victorious, and cool venues, like the Old Blue Last and The Windmill (this is where we did our first gig as Baby Said). We can’t wait for everyone’s reaction and to hopefully have more people discover us, rock out with us and follow our journey’.”

Baby Said decided to record their album with Patch Boshell and Steven Battelle as they had already written three songs with them – Mean Girlz, Dead to Me and Hate Me – they knew they understood their vision. Recorded over a few months, they did live drums, bass and some guitars at the ‘Puzzle Factory’ and the rest of the guitars and vocals at Patch’s studio, with the aim to maintain the rawness of the rock band they aspire to be. Having almost all the songs brewing for about a year, this made the experience so much more rewarding to hear the recordings to their full potential.

The band continues,  “Our album ‘BS’ is about us finding the power in our voice and speaking up. We want the lairy guitars and messages to empower others and inspire them to also speak up about their own experiences and perhaps create connections with new people who may relate.”

Gig Review: Dirty Honey / BabySaid – O2 Academy 2, Birmingham (11th February 2024)

It might be a Sunday night but it still takes a good half hour to get into Birmingham’s O2 Academy 2 and once up the stairs and into the room, it’s packed. And somehow only becomes busier over the next hour or so before the first chords
